One year went by our eyes. We wanted the change. We called out loud for freedom and equality, for our rights and dreams. We gathered together, hand in hand, in a single voice, in a single spot; for one thing: Freedom.
We faced the gunshots, teargases and all the types of brutality. We had to get back to the 20th century, without mobile phones or internet. We stood a one man stand. Nothing shook us or made us even think twice. We toppled down Mubarak. We celebrated not knowing what could happen later. We didn't know that the mission is not accomplished yet. Ecstasy took over us and we weren't aware. Even if we had some feelings of worry, but yet we ignored them.. One year went by, and our rights are still not given to us. SCAF came and stole everything. That's the second part of the truth about the old regime. But this time, we won't wait. Waiting was never the best choice. We are moving now, and nothing will stop us. Flashbacks come, the blood is still there, and the martyrs' souls are still swinging in and out of their bodies..They aren't resting in peace now, and will not unless their rights are given back to them..
I am not writing to describe things. I am writing to every person who support SCAF, to every person who wants us to wait and stop protesting to give SCAF a chance, to every person who says that us, protesters, are thugs.
No we aren't giving up. We have more spirit than before, we will sleep at the street, we will sleep in tents, we will face the gunshots and teargases, we will face the unbearable. Freedom is not cheap nor easy. You won't have it while watching TV or wishing us luck. Call us whatever you want, but after we succeed, you will feel ashamed when we are just enjoying the taste of freedom that we cooked by ourselves. You will try to take a sip or lick, but no, you won't taste anything, just shame.
